How to get the internet back after reformatting a hard drive help please?

It was the first time i’ve reformatted a computer on my own and everything went ok I just dont know how to get the internet back. I didnt write down my original ip address should i call my internet providers, or download drivers for the wireless connection?

If you have reinstalled everything properly, All your cables are connected and your modem is connected.
Start the pc and let it get completely booted up, Then disconnect the modem from the pc for a minute or so, Reconnect it and you should be back online.

If your isp sent a disc ,put it in ,do what it tells you.

If you are using Lindows (sic) as your operating system, it’s a done deal. It does it all for you. But you’re probably using Windows something. I have my hard disk partitioned into three parts. Part 1 is Windows 98, and I can’t get the internet. Part 2 is Windows 2000 and I CAN get the internet. And Part 3 is a second Windows 2000…and I have a second internet connected partition, just in case partition two crashes. Just choose typical setup and it seems to work without you having to remember anything.
